Small business in a BIG world

With the advent of the internet, it opened up a whole new world to business marketing and the way businesses market themselves. The internet and specifically social media, is enabling businesses to connect with their customer in a way they couldn't before on a more personal level and enhancing their customer relations and service. The internet has made it possible for small business to compete on a bigger stage. The way people consume media is changing fast. Laptops, tablets and smartphones keep us constantly connected to the web. This represents a huge opportunity for business marketing, the old methods are no longer working, new media demands new ways to advertise.


Facebook is the single most effective platform for marketing in the internet era, with 1.8 billion users, yes that's Billion with B! and over Billion using it on a daily bases. That's why a good Facebook advertising strategy can send your return on investment through the roof.  


Facebook enables businesses to target their perfect customer also called an (Avatar) in advertising circles, with the tools available in Facebook's Power Editor they can direct their ads by demographics, area they live, male, female, age, interest and more, Facebook's algorithm is very powerful and is a mighty tool when used right, enabling small businesses to reach right into peoples everyday life, statistics say that the average Facebook user checks there account 14 times a day. Now that's a lot!


Some businesses say that "They tried Facebook Ads and it didn't work" well there are several reasons why they could be saying that, maybe they didn't fine tune their targeting, or write good Ad Copy (There is a real talent to writing good copy) or they didn't create a good sales funnel to capture the leads that click on their ad. There is a formula for success with Facebook ads and the same with other internet advertising such as google ad words, Twitter, Instagram , or e-mail marketing each one of these has their own formula for success but the good thing is small businesses can use the same strategy's as big business does and leverage this new technology for real success in this new digital world.
